Start your journey early in the morning from Bweyogerere, heading towards Mbarara. Stop at the Equator for photos and then proceed to Lake Mburo National Park for a game drive, where you might spot zebras and other wildlife. Continue to Mbarara for lunch, then check into Pelikan Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
After breakfast, travel to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Known as the deepest lake in Uganda, Lake Bunyonyi is famous for its scenic beauty and numerous islands. Upon arrival, take a boat ride to explore these islands and learn about their unique histories. Return to Overland Resort Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Depart Lake Bunyonyi for Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving at Bush Lodge in time for lunch. In the evening, go on a game drive through the park's wildlife-rich tracks, seeking sightings of buffaloes, lions, elephants, and more. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4
Begin the day with a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, offering more chances to see wildlife, including diverse bird species. After lunch, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5
After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and head towards Fort Portal. Visit the Amabeere Ganyina Mwiru caves and walk to Crater Lake, then tour the Tooro Palace. Enjoy lunch in Fort Portal town, then relax at Night Rose Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6
After breakfast, start your journey back to Kampala. Make a stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers' center to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted. Arrive in Kampala in the evening, marking the end of your road trip.
